This is a two day/weekend class

All levels welcome. Day 1 you will be sculpting in clay a life size hand atop an arm shaped armature. Discussion and instruction of anatomy, proportion, gesture and narrative. Day2 will be hollowing out and devoting to each persons vision for their piece and how to achieve it. You will leave the workshop with a leather hard clay model ready for bisque firing. We can bisque fire during the week for your pick up the following week if desired. The finished sculpture can then be cold finished or glazed.

Limited to 6 students.

Saturday April 11, 2026 10 am - 4 pm and

Sunday April 12, 2026 10 am - 4 pm

Materials: clay provided, kiln bisque firing included.

Optional: you may wish to bring your own clay tools, scribe, etc.

Suggested: bring a mid-day lunch sack
